Multi-Skilled Forklift Driver (Despatch)
Greenvale AP is one of the UK’s largest growers and packers of fresh potatoes, supplying some of the country’s largest retailers and processors from our 2 production facilities. Our Duns site based in the Scottish Borders is looking for a Multi-skilled Forklift Driver for its Despatch Department. This role includes ensuring that all product is despatched on time and to customer requirements.
- Location: Duns
- Reporting to: Production Manager
- Salary: £13.85 per hour
- Hours of work: 18:00-04:30hrs (M/T/W) & 16:00-02:30hrs (T), Nights, Weekly, 2x 15 minutes paid break and 1x 30 minutes unpaid break
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensuring all orders for delivery/collection are executed correctly
- Performing all forklift duties effectively, efficiently and safely
- Complying with all H&S procedures and conducting daily forklift checks as per company policy
- Ensuring accidents, incidents and dangerous occurrences are reported accordingly
- Ensuring your departmental work area is kept safe, clean and tidy
- Ensuring the forklift is operated in accordance with training
Key Attributes:
- Excellent communication skills
- Good negotiation skills
- Clear understanding of Health and Safety
- Computer literate in all Microsoft applications
- Analytical approach
- Self-motivated, improvement driven
- Due to the nature of this role, a valid Forklift licence of ITSSAR, AITT or RTITB standard is required
