Stock Allocator

Greenvale AP is one of the UK’s largest growers and packers of fresh potatoes, supplying some of the country’s largest retailers and processors from our 2 production facilities. Our Floods Ferry site based in March, Cambridgeshire is looking for a Stock Allocator for its Intake Department. This role includes supporting the running of the planning and intake functions by managing the allocation of raw materials for Production, ensuring the correct stock is allocated to its designated location.

  • Location: March
  • Reporting to: Intake & Materials Utilisation Manager
  • Salary: £15.63 per hour
  • Hours of work: Monday - Friday Nights, 18:00 - 02:30hrs, 1x 15 minutes paid breaks & 1x 30 minutes unpaid break
Main Responsibilities:
  • Allocating stock to the Production sequence plan
  • Rotating responsibilities with colleagues to ensure accurate knowledge of stock
  • Facilitating regular cycle counting
  • Communicating location and floor plans to the Intake team
  • Performing product quality checks on picked stock prior to washing
  • Conducting live row reconciliation of stock and locations
  • Being accountable for the correct use of second stock to ensure effective utilisation
  • Conducting label checks prior to issuing stock to the Wash Area
Key Attributes:
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working within a similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of an intake department is desirable
  • Attention to detail
  • Safety awareness and correct operation of FLT trucks
  • Communication and organisational skills
  • A valid Forklift licence of ITSSAR, AITT or RTITB standard is required
