QA Team Member (Nights)
Greenvale AP is one of the UK’s largest growers and packers of fresh potatoes, supplying some of the country’s largest retailers and processors from our 2 production facilities. We are looking for a QA Team Member to maintain optical grading operations, optimising product quantity and quality throughput, whilst ensuring our customers are provided with product that meets specification at all times. You will also be required to support the wider Technical function in all aspects of Technical Assurance.

- Reporting to: Raw Materials Manager
- Salary: £13.07 per hour
- Hours of work: Monday-Wednesday 18:00-04:30hrs & Thursday 16:00-02:30hrs, Weekly, Nights
Main Responsibilities:
- Communicating product and performance issues
- Monitoring waste levels and agreed performance targets
- Following operator procedures outlined in operating manuals for Optical Graders and any maintenance/machine tasks
- Monitoring product quality and adjusting machine settings to ensure customer specification compliance
- Undertaking finished product quality assurance checks
- Visually checking packaging print, colour and clarity
- Being aware of customer complaints and rejections and taking appropriate action if necessary
Key Attributes:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal with challenging situations
- Ideally have experience of working in a manufacturing environment although this is not essential
- Flexibility and self-motivation are key qualities required for this role
- Team player that encourages and supports the wider workforce
- An understanding of BRC ad HACCP requirements
