Senior Technologist
Greenvale AP is one of the UK’s largest growers and packers of fresh potatoes, supplying some of the country’s largest retailers and processors from our 2 production facilities. The potatoes we pack are grown by around 200 of our UK growers, most of whom we supply seed to, and along with the potatoes from our own growing operations, provide our pack sites with the material to store, manage and pack for our key customer base 364 days of the year. Reporting to the Head of Technical you will support customer facing activities including, assisting with the technical management of day-to-day requirements for both retail and B2B customers, technical administration, grower due diligence, KPIs, systems maintenance and collating relevant reports and presentations.

- Hours of work: 08:30-17:00, Monday to Friday
Main Responsibilities
- Maintaining customer KPI requirements for quality, supply chain and ethical/human rights
- Maintaining and updating customer technical product/specification management systems
- Maintaining and updating SEDEX
- To be the technical contact for B2B customers, managing issues through the supply chain
- Supporting the Commercial team on technical aspects of customer accounts
- Supporting management, communication and co-ordination of customer technical requirements
- Supporting with any issues relating to product quality; customer complaints, rejections or withdrawals and to deputise when required
Key Attributes
- Experience within the potato or fresh produce industry
- Ability to understand, interpret and communicate customer requirements
- Excellent skills with Microsoft office, data analysis, reporting and presenting
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Organised, proactive and flexible to prioritise workload effectively
- Ability to make informed decisions at pace
- Ability to travel within the UK with a valid driving licence is required
- A formal education in agriculture or food is preferred, however is not essential
